Portraits of children from an Indian village

I just love clicking portraits of all age groups, and my favourite subjects are often the young kids or the elderlies. I was recently in Gujarat and took loads of portraits in the villages there, and here are some from an Aanganwadi.

An Aanganwadi is a space in a village where kids come together to learn, eat nutritious food and also get monitored for their growth. Almost all villages have an aanganwadi and all the small kids of the village come and spend a few hours there everyday. Often kids do not like them as they have to spend time away from home!

Here is a photo-story of my visit to one such Aanganwadi in Gujarat where I played with them, took loads of their pictures and basically just had fun! :)

  7. Good portraits. Pathatic thing is many Anganwadis have no good atmosphere.and how they look after and feed children are remote.
