Review: Hotel Sai Palace, Agra

I visited Agra when winters were just setting in, and the weather was so perfect. It was different from my all other Agra trips which had happened in the summers. The mist always suspended and believe me even that can be beautiful be beautiful as well; check out the images at my other blog post -

One of the many roof top restaurants around...

My big preference was not to stay at a luxury hotel, but at an affordable place which was close to Taj and where we could meet fellow travellers from all across the globe - this is actually the most fantastic part of traveling, you make phenomenal connections with some wonderful people.

So we ended up staying at Sai Palace!

The roof-top eating place
Don't be mistaken by the name, the place is not a palace, in fact it is no where close to one. But it's not bad at all, certainly not for the price.

The place has awesome location, just walking distance from the south gate of Taj Mahal, and the view from the the terrace hotel is nice as well. Strictly average on cleanliness, I found the place to have reasonably affordable food.

Loved this red building, reminded me of Galata Tower in Istanbul...
We only slept and occasionally ate breakfast there. The cafeteria is on the rooftop which is great in winters as you can also absurd the much needed sunshine, and you can actually see Taj from there. Despite all the house in between, and the mist, the sight was wonderful :)

Can't say this was the best place in the town, but I did stay here and had a good time :)

The finally the Taj from the balcony...
