Preikestolen on a foggy day - dark and beautiful
Preikestolen, also more popularly known as Pulpit Rock, is perhaps one of the most visited places in the entire Norway.
On a day when all weather predictions suggested a rainy day, we still went ahead with the trek to the famous Preikestolen! It was expected to turn for the better after six, but behaved exactly the opposite. It was all just foggy on top. It was quite unlike the pulpit I saw in images, but was still quite beautiful.

Sharing just three pictures from the hike. They look a little menacing and scary. I walked down all alone, and it was awesome to be by my myself in such unusual surroundings. The paths are marked, but its always possible to take diversions and make your own way. Somehow, I was not at all afraid there - the mountains felt like home :)
Preikestolen is fairly easy to do by public transportation as well, but the option is available only for a few months every year. You need to take a ferry followed by a bus, but need to buy the ticket only once for the return trip in the ferry itself. Going by car is the easiest though.
Do you wonder what Preikestolen looks like on a warm and sunny day? Check it out here.
