Is it even possible? Its actually not...no woman can ever be colorless. I even see colors in their sadness, grief and possibly even when they are depressed. Perhaps the colors are monotones and not necessarily uplifting, but they exist.
Women add color to life with everything they do!
This collection is second in the series on faces. I am leaving them all untitled, interpretation left to the readers...

The other side of me recently asked me how do I manage to click strangers, and do they ever take offense?
Well, I don't really have a great answer for this, I guess I don't try anything different when I click people. But usually I do not just walk around with a camera and click people randomly. I usually take a walk around to get a feel of the place and people first (if possible) and only then click. Often I try and talk to my subjects, I think essentially I like collecting their stories and images simply aid me in doing that. Even if I do not speak their language, I try to communicate and it often works as well. Rarely people have taken offense, though once in Milan I was almost beaten up outside a bar for clicking the bouncer :)
I am visiting your blog after such a long time. your photography has evolved so much - although, indeed, still very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI was to come to India this summer for an internship, but couldn't get a visa in time. Well, at least, I can live parts of the country and people through your stunning and extremely vivid pictures. :-)
I hope you're doing very well.
Thank you so much :) I am really sorry to hear about your visa, India consulates has a bad reputation when it comes to granting visas. Hope you will be able to visit again someday...

Thank you for answering my questions :)
ReplyDeleteNot many realize the beauty in elderly people..that's something special about your photographs..
Loved the way you see the beauty behind their wrinkles.. Great shot and I agree no woman can ever be colorless..
My favorite is the second picture.. The lady might be old but the smile that you captured brings out the youth in her
Very nice shots..
P. S:Milan story kinda creepy though
You are most welcome :)
DeleteAs for Milan, it was rather scary for me. I survived because my girl friend knew some Italian and managed to prevent me from getting bashed up :)
They Are Looking So Beautiful, They Don't need any color to look beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks...I completely agree!
DeleteI realy love this picture :)))
ReplyDeleteJill:)
Thanks Jill :)
DeleteThis is such a great post. With me what was once very comfortable at times can be not so much anymore. Are we getting soft?
ReplyDeleteThanks Vivek...
DeleteAbout being soft, what exactly are you referring to? That males are getting soft in attitude?
ReplyDeleteGreat Blog It is very interesting Page I like this page because after reading your Page I get more information. This is more interesting like picture and image. This picture is more beautiful. Thanks
Young or old, clean or dirty, sad or smiling, your pictures bring out the women in the female subjects. Absolutely fantastic series. Loved it.

ReplyDeleteThanks Sridharan :)
DeleteNice pics, the world would be colorless without women
ReplyDeleteYes, of course, I completely agree Swati :)
DeleteEach face is a reflection of a life ... sometimes very hard
ReplyDeleteI like like you captured.
a hug.
Thanks so much Laura :) You are very kind...
DeleteI see: secrets, simple joy, contentment, and the last one could go either way from that angle and since I can't see her eyes.. so i'm not sure if it's happiness or despair. Wonderful clicks!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jules...your suggestions are excellent! :) The last one is actually despair...
DeleteThis is a great grouping of photos. I liked the last photo a great deal. I immediately felt a sense of sadness when I saw it. Your photos cut to the bone...
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Pat!
DeleteIndeed a woman in every age add color to life.
ReplyDeleteyea i agree first a little bit talk like an anthropologist to any person and then they will frankly allow you to take picture. Otherwise it is so risky to capture others especially females in my country.
I agree :)
DeleteJust beautiful! Thank you.
