Reveiw: Cafe Peter Donut - A Coffee date with mom!

How often do you go out on a coffee date with your mom? Well I do that at times, often the idea is to introduce her to new food cuisines and happening new places in town :)

I have been a fan of Peter Donut Cafe for a while now and often go there for their awesome Americano and delicious Donuts. So this Saturday when we were both tired after hosting guests for lunch, we decided to head out and eat a light dinner at a cafe and the cafe was obviously Cafe Peter Donut :)

For a change the place was practically empty and we picked the best seat! I have seen people taking orders being very nice to you when you are our for coffee with your mom. At Marriott they even got us a complimentary cake when they saw us celebrating dad's birthday last year (he was out of country) :) Even fellow coffee lovers look up to you with a smile, something very unusual in India!

We both basically hogged on sandwiches, coffee and donuts! Though we had gone out with the intention of eating a light meal, all our plans were shattered there!!! Health food needs to wait till another such outing :)

And my recommendation for the place? The black coffee is great, and so are their dessert palate. The basic cinnamon donut is my fav, followed by Oreo donut. If you want something less sweet, have the cinnamon donut.

Cafe Peter Donut started as a single shop franchise from Aundh. Now they have many branches throughout the city. The images above are from their branch on Prabhat Road. While you are there, look out for the deer heads - you can find an online template and build those for your homes as well.
