Portrait from Kashmir, India: Kabuliwala
Every time I see a face that interests me, I usually stop whatever else I might be doing and get on the task :)
So when I met this Afghan in Pahalgam, I stopped short on my walk to the riverside and immediately made friends with him. It's usually much easier when you start with a conversation - people open up and willingly agree to be photographed.
This was also the only day I had the my only prime lens on the camera - a rather new Nikkor 50mm :)
So here is one of the really few portraits I clicked in Kashmir this time - I call him Kabuliwala...
