Black and White images from Jama Masjid, New Delhi
Sharing a few images taken through my mobile phone at the historic Jama Masjid located in one of the oldest quarters (Chandni Chowk) of the city.
I have always been fascinated by the mosques, probably because of the majestic domes which adorn most of these places of worship. Jama Masjid in Delhi is not just a touristic attraction, but pretty much a living mosque with lots of life inside as well as outside. You can get some of the best non-vegeterian food (probably THE best) in the lanes outside; the most famous of these all would be Karim's.
So visit the monument, pay a small fee and climb up to get some majestic Delhi shots and eat delicious food to calm your senses :)
p.s. the best time to visit the place would certainly not be summers, but sometimes one has no choice over these matters...

And relaxing even more... |
