The inspiration to try madness - Sourav Singh!

This article is a part of Relish the Challenge contest by Godrej Cinthol and here is my second entry for week two :) This week is about a friend and I am showcasing a daredevil dude Sourav Singh :)

I met Sourav while trekking in Ladakh and quickly became friends with him for one simple reason. I loved his enthusiasm for traveling, and trying out all sorts of adventure while doing that.

I did sky diving last year and was rather impressed with myself, after all I was the first one amongst a bunch of friends who did it. All my pride, however, fell through when Sourav told me about his solo sky diving jump (as against my own tandem jump, with an instructor). My experience of Sky diving was out of this world, but imagine jumping completely on your own after a day's training. Quite an amazing feat, I must say!

Check out the video here from him jump; currently this is high on my list of 'to-do' things! Game for a challenge? Eh?
:)

p.s. Don't consider this to be a one time madness, he has been jumping off all sorts of mad places. Most recently he was trekking solo to Roop Kund in Uttarakhand, and returned just a day before the cloud burst!

But honestly, there is no greater feeling of self confidence when you are finally jumping out of that plane on your own and maneuvering your chute up in the air...

ANd yes, you do get to shout a lot without anyone minding it.. :D
