The James H Clark Center
There really is no good reason to write this post, except of course to share some wonderful images from the building which houses my lab, its the James H Clark Center, Stanford. It was designed and executed by Fosters and Partners in collaboration with MBT Architecture.
Usually lazy to take out the camera and take some on campus snaps, I was pulled out today by this magnificent sky, it had this stunning blue which simply overpowered my senses, and soon I was out shivery and praying that the VR on my camera makes everything all right (weather has gone completely berserk, just getting colder and colder, even as people all around complain about the lack of rains).
However, I missed a tripod sorely, with it I could've taken some very interesting long exposure shots. They are always much nicer than these mundane shots...and more engaging as well for a viewer.

The green section below is where lunch usually happens - Nexus (its quite alright, and we get Indian lunches on Mondays) |
On the first floor, far right is my lab. There are so many labs, all poorly marked (maybe for a reason) and no one really knows what goes on in them :) |
Just outside Peet's Cafe...I just love these curves :) |
Peet's on top left, its also Chris' favorite coffee place! |
On the top floor, an amused student looked on as I took some pics in the insane cold |
It's really a stunning architecture!
ReplyDeleteI am always astonish when seeing the Viaduct of Millau in south France,an outstanding creation and a fantastic partnership between the french and Foster's team!

DeleteThe sky looks an amazing purple. You have some nice shots there without a tripod.
ReplyDeleteThough I still wish I had a tripod, hopefully I will have one soon and the sky will turn magical once again...

DeleteVery nice pics! And who knows what sinister thing goes on inside the labs, anyway?! *evil laughter*
ReplyDeleteHaha...it would be damn exciting if something 'evil' actually goes on there. The lab next to mine is biological and there is all sort of 'living' stuff here...experiments etc. I wonder if that satiates your wish :)
