Socializing in Jaipur...camera on rest!
A very relaxing weekend in Jaipur with friends, some from India, some more from Mexico. We stayed in a fabulous hotel right in the middle of the old city, and spent most of our time socializing and taking in the place, rather than clicking (which is quite unusual).
Our days were spent walking down the streets of Old Jaipur, eating tons of local food (especially sweets), catching up with our Mexican friends at the Amer Fort and exploring it together, and of course, shopping for some really beautiful handicraft. We pretty much lived like tourists, but I loved it all...it was break that we both really needed :)
It was also one of those trips when I didn't use my camera as much and most pictures I did take are more personal and don't fit here. Here are some special ones nevertheless - each has a special memory and an even more special story.
However, if you have just one day to spend in the city, here's a guide for you: Jaipur in One Day
If you love luxury and places with rich history, Talabgaon Castle should be on your list. It's about an hour and half from the city and will give you an unforgettable experience. Read more: Talabgaon Castle, Jaipur.
Enjoy the photo-story :)

@Dominic: Haha...thank you :) I guess that's how life is around where I live :)
ReplyDelete@DeeBee: Thank you so much :)
@Dhiraj: Ah! I wish I knew how to make people pose...I would really make them do very random stuff! But yes, I do really like clicking people.
@TheGirlAtFirstAvenue: Thank you :) It really was a beautiful umbrella...though it was somehow left alone in an open space...
As for women's fascination with shiny sparkly jewelry, I have now realised that its fun to click such moments and I keep myself busy with my camera :)

ReplyDelete@Shruti: Haha...but I do agree that I look like a villain, I grew up with the ignominy of being called "Raj Babbar' by my aunt :(
And trust me, you like more pictures than I do on the blog :)
@RedHanded: I like that one too, though such pictures are becoming alarmingly common on my picture folder! Damn these expensive Rajasthan trips!
